On this tour you will be taken
along the romantic Viale dei Colli up to the Piazzale Michelangelo
to admire the wonderful panorama. This tour will then take you into
the historic centre of Florence and includes a visit to the
Cathedral with Brunelleschi's grandiose Cupola, a view of the
Giotto's Belltower and of the Baptistery with its bronze doors,
among which the most famous are the Gates of Paradise. A short walk
through the historic streets in the heart of Florence will then
bring you to the reknowned Galleria dell'Accademia. Here you can
admire the famous David by Michelangerlo and other works by the
great artist.
The
Duomo cannot be visited on Sundays and National Holidays. On Mondays
the Accademia Gallery is closed and this visit will be replaced by a
visit to the Bargello Museum or to the Medici Chapel. As places of
worship will be visited, please ensure appropriate clothing is worn.
