(Panormo) 5 Apartments
These
family run apartments are on the north coast of Crete, in the village of
Panormo and about 22 km from Rethymno. This little three storey house sits
almost on the water’s edge in this attractive old seaside village. There
are only five apartments, which all have balconies overlooking the
gorgeous expan
se of deep blue sea. There is a reception and a little
boutique in the building, while a variety of tavernas and shops can be
found nearby, in the village streets. The apartments vary slightly in size
as follow:
A: Two apartments for 2-3 people,
comprising one bedroom with twin beds, living room with a sofa bed,
kitchenette, shower/wc and balcony with sea views.
B: Two apartments for 2-4 people,
comprising of one bedroom with twin beds, living room with two sofa beds,
kitchenette, shower/wc and balcony with side sea views.
C: One apartment on the top floor (35 sqm) for 2-4 people, comprising one bedroom with a double bed, which opens
onto a large balcony with sea views. Further to this there is a
living/dining room with a sofa bed for two persons, a kitchenette and
shower/wc. Leading out from the living area, there is a large partially
roofed over sun terrace with magnificent sea views. The sun terrace has
sun umbrellas, sun beds and patio furniture.

Overlooking
the sea at Panormo, 22 km east from Rethymno, is this pretty and welcoming
house with wooden shutters and pots of flowers sitting at the end of a
small road close to the beach. It contains a variety of attractive s
easide
accommodation with 2 studios, 2 apartments and 1 maisonette, which are all
pleasantly furnished and well cared for. This is a thoroughly relaxing setting with a most hospitable owner.
A:
Two studios (18-22 sqm), for 2
people, living/bedroom with twin beds, kitchenette, shower/wc and
veranda with sea views.
B: Two apartments (38-40 sqm), for 3-4
people, one bedroom
with a double bed or a twin bedroom, living room
with sofa bed and an extra bed, shower/wc. One apartment has a balcony
with sea views, and the other has a veranda.
C: Maisonette (80 sqm), for 4-6
people, two bedrooms and a sleeping gallery, a living room with
sleeping facilities for three more people and a fireplace and wc, a
kitchen with a dining area, bathroom with shower/wc. There is a large
balcony (30 sqm) with views out to the sea and around the bay. Up a wooden
staircase there are facilities for two more persons to stay over night.
The
beach, shops, tavernas and restaurants are all easily reached about a 100
metres stroll away and a regular bus service is nearby.
Konaki Apartments*** (Panormo) 18 Apartments
The design
of these charming and pretty apartments is based on that of a Cretan
village in that they are cleverly built around a central garden courtyard
filled with flowers. There is a small bar beside the centrally positioned
fresh water swimming pool. Mini markets and tavernas can be found in the
village. There are three types of apartments, all with pretty pained
shutters and little balconies.
A:
Seven studios (48sqm), for 2-3 people, with a bed/living room with one
double bed and one single bed, kitchenette, shower/WC, and a balcony.
B:
Nine apartments (56sqm), for 2-4 people, with a bedroom with a double bed,
living/dining room with two built in single beds, kitchenette, shower/WC,
and a balcony.
C:Two
apartments (60sqm), for 4 people, with two bedrooms, one with a double bed
and one with twin beds, and a living area with kitchenette. The ground
floor apartment has a bathroom/WC and a small veranda. The upper floor
apartment has a shower/WC, and a balcony.
The small
beach is 300 metres from the apartments and the nearest bus stop is 500
metres away with a regular service to Heraklion and Rethymno leaving every
hour up until 9 p.m.
