This pretty
hotel, built in 1990, is situated on the outskirts of Matala in a very
quiet setting, surrounded by the beautifully landscaped gardens. This is a
family owned hotel, with the charming owners, Manolis and Olympia, on hand
every day, more than ready to assist in any way possible.
The 27
rooms, each with their own individual entrance, are arranged in three
different buildings. They are tastefully decorated and equipped with twin
beds, a split-level seating area, shower/WC, a telephone, music channel,
and a balcony with magnificent views over the mountain landscape, and the
valley of Matala, which stretches all the way to the sea. Some of the
rooms have air conditioning, at an extra local charge. In the main
building of the hotel you will find a reception, lounge, TV corner, bar
and restaurant. In front of the hotel there is a
swimming pool well equipped with sun beds and sun umbrellas,
and during the day the pool bar serves drinks and small snacks. The
inclusive breakfast is varied and substantial. The nearest beach lies
about 900 metres away. In this pleasant and peaceful setting, with warmly
welcoming hotel owners who like on occasions to host barbecue and cocktail
evenings, one can be assured of a most relaxing and restful holiday.

Studios
** (Matala) 6 Studios
Some
600 metres before you reach the village of Matala, Su nrise Studios, with unobstructed views over the lovely surrounding
mountain landscape, sit on a hill, between the main village road and a
small slip road. The house sits in pretty and coulourful gardens. The
picturesque sandy cove of Matala with its famous cliff side caves is about
900 metres from the house, and the beautiful long open sandy beach of
Komos lies some 2 km away. There are 6 studios, attractively set on
different terraced levels. Of which 3 are on the ground floor and 3 on the
first floor.
Each
studio accommodates 2 or 3 people and has an open plan living/bedroom with 2 or 3 single
beds, kitchenette, shower/wc and a balcony with delightful views over the
village, the rolling mountains, and the valley of Matala all the way to
the sea. Tavernas, restaurants, bars, shops and entertainment can be found
in Matala. A car is recommended.
Odysseas Apartments** (Matala) 4 Apartments
These
cosy apartments are situated on the edge of the village in 1200sqm
gardens, only 300 metres from the beach. Each apartment has it’s own
individual entrance and is suitable for 2-3 people. They are simply
furnished and have one bedroom with a stone built bed, a
kitchenette/living room with a simple cooking hob and a stone built,
corner sofa bed, which will sleep one adult and a small child. The
stone-faced bathroom has a shower/WC. Each apartment has it’s own terrace
with views to the garden and the surrounding mountains. The nearest shops
and tavernas are some 150 metres away.
