Ambeliotisa
is located in a quiet position on the outskirts of the delightful and
authentic village of Kamilari. The apartments are housed in two buildings,
which are set in 1000 sqm of pretty gardens, and surrounded by olive
trees. The apartments are recently built and are of a tasteful, modern
design, with ga rden furniture placed around the gardens. Air conditioning
is available at an extra charge and all apartments afford really pretty
views of the surrounding mountains. Accommodation is as follows:
A: Five studios (22sqm) for 2
people with an open plan living/bedroom, kitchenette, shower/wc, and
balcony or terrace. One studio also has a sofa bed making it suitable for
3 people.
B: One maisonette for 2 people
with a dining room, kitchenette, shower/wc and terrace on the ground
floor, and a gallery bedroom with balcony upstairs.
C:
Three newly built
maisonettes (65sqm) suitable for 4-5
people, having a living room with sofa bed and satellite television,
an open plan kitchenette, one bedroom with twin beds and a shower/wc.
Upstairs there is a second gallery style bedroom with a double bed. Each
has a balcony or terrace affording attractive mountain views.
Ambeliotisa
also has a comfortable reception area with a cosy fireplace, satellite
television and a facility for the internet.
The
nearest beach is 3 km away in Kalamaki, while shops and tavernas can be
found in the village, 300 metres away. The house is also equipped with
central heating (at an extra charge) making it suitable for a winter stay.
This location is ideal for those seeking a quiet, peaceful holiday in
natural, comfortable surroundings. Car hire is recommended.
Galaxias
Studios ** (Kamilari/Kalamaki) 9 Studios & 2 Apartments
These
comfortable
and homely studios near to the beach, are about 2,5 km from Kamilari on
the south coast of Crete, and sit in a quiet position in the tiny
village of Kalamaki. The family who owns the studios is particularly
pleasant and offers a warm and friendly atmosphere. Guests have the use
of a reception with a recreation area and sun terrace and if you would
prefer you can book to have breakfast included.
A: Nine
studios, which are simply but tastefully furnished, accommodate 2-3
people. They have a bed/living room with 2 or 3 single beds, and a seating
area, kitchenette, shower/WC and balcony or terrace with sea view.
B: Two
apartments for 4 people, with a living/bedroom with twin beds,
kitchenette, seating area and a separate bedroom with twin beds,
shower/WC, and balcony with a view of the Ida mountains.
It is about
150 metres to the lovely sandy beach, and tavernas, a mini market, and
little shops are to be found nearby.
Plakalono
House **+ (Kamilari) 1 Studio & 7 Maisonettes
Wonderful
views of the Messara plain and the Idi Mo untains are one of the advantages
of the comfortable apartments of Plakalono,
which is surrounded by very large gardens and is quietly situated in
the lower part of the village of Kamilari. In this Cretan style,
traditionally furnished accommodation, there are two different types of
maisonette to choose from:
A: One studio, 30 sqm in size, suitable for 2-3 people, comprises of a living/bedroom with 1 double and 1 single
bed, kitchenette, shower/wc and a terrace.
B: Seven maisonettes, suitable for 2
to 4 people, comprising of a sleeping gallery with one double bed, or
twin beds, and a single bed. There is a living room/ kitchenette, with an
extra bed, a shower/wc and a sun terrace.
Air
conditioning is available, at an extra charge. In the large garden in
front of the house is a barbecue area, and a children’s playground, as
well as a car parking area. For those who are seeking a quiet relaxing
holiday and the experience of living in a Cretan village, Plakalono
is a ideal place.
Skala House**+ (Kamilari) 1 Apartment
This
recently refurbished village house is situated in the centre of the
village of Kamilari, and comprises
of two apartments, with the owner occupying the apartment on the ground
floor.
A
staircase leads up from the shared terrace to the private veranda of the
upper apartment,
which affords a pretty sea view. This 65sqm maisonette style apartment,
suitable for 3-5 people, comprises a living/dining room with two single
sofa beds, a fully equipped kitchenette and shower/WC. An open staircase
leads up to an open plan bedroom with a double and a single bed. From here
a spacious balcony offers a view over the rooftops of the village, the
surrounding mountains and the sea in the distance.
The house
has central heating (extra charge) and double- glazing.
Kafenions,
shops and tavernas can be found in the village and the nearest beach in Kalamaki. Linen and towels are changed twice a week but the house is
cleaned only upon arrival.
Skala Apartments**+ (Kamilari) 6 Apartments
 Positioned
within 2000sqm gardens with lawns and flowering shrubs, the Skala Apartments lie 2,5 km from the beautiful grey breach. Air conditioning is
available at an extra charge, and there are two types of accommodation to
choose from:
A:
Two studios, which are suitable
for 2-3 people, comprising of a living/bedroom with a double
bed, an extra
bed, kitchenette, shower/WC, and a balcony with lovely views over the old
village.
B:
Four maisonettes, which are suitable for 2-4 people, comprising of a
sleeping gallery with one double bed, a living room with two sofa beds,
kitchenette, shower/WC, and two balconies offering lovely views of the old
village and the surrounding mountains.
There is a
barbecue area which guests are welcome to use. Shops, tavernas and
kafenions can be found some 100 metres away in Kamilari village.
