Athena’s House sits in a peaceful hillside position on the outskirts of Istro village, within pretty gardens, 4000 sqm in size. Facilities include a children’s playground and a swimming pool, which is approximately 15m x 6m size and has a children’s end. The apartments are simple and traditional in style, but well looked after by attentive owners who live in one of the apartments. It is about 900 metres to the nearest beach, and 1500 metres from the village with its tavernas and shops. The nearest bus stop is 200 metres away, with a regular service to Agios Nikolaos, Sitia and Ierapetra. There are three different sizes of apartment to choose from as follows:

A: One bedroom apartments on the ground floor (35 sqm), suitable for 2-3 people, comprising one bedroom with a double bed, a living/dining area with sofa bed, a simple kitchenette, shower/wc, and sun terrace with views of the gardens.

B: Two bedroom apartments on the ground floor (50 sqm), suitable for 4-5 people, comprising one bedroom with a double bed and one bedroom with twin beds, living/dining area with a sofa bed, a kitchenette, shower/wc, and sun terrace with views of the gardens.

C: Two bedroom apartments on the first floor (55 sqm), suitable for 4-5 people, comprising one bedroom with a double bed and one bedroom with twin beds, living/dining area with a sofa bed, a kitchenette, shower/wc, and two large balconies, one with sea views and the other with views of the mountains.

All the apartments are supplied with both solar and electric heating systems for the provision of hot water.

The rugged landscape surrounding Athena’s House is ideal for nature lovers and keen walkers, for those seeking peace and relaxation, yet is equally suitable for families with children. Car hire is recommended.
