Sky Apartments**+ (Agia Fotia) 7 Apartments
Positioned
on a hill, offering wonderful panoramic views of the sea, these attractive
apartments are situated approx. 2,5 km east of Agia Fotia. The villages of
Ferma and Koutsounari can be found after approx. 2,5 km. Facilities
include a fresh water swimming pool with snack bar, surrounded by well
maintained gardens. All apartments are suitable for 2-3
people, and have one bedroom, one living/dining area with sofa bed and
kitchenette, shower/wc, and a balcony or terrace, most of them with sea
views.
A
shingle beach is found after 250 metres, reached via a steep track. The
sandy beach of Galini is 800 metres away. A mini-market can be found after
50 metres, and the nearest taverna is 200 metres in distance.
Ferma
Solaris Apartments**+ (Ferma/Ierapetra) 11 Apartments.
These
carefully looked after pristine apartments have a really wonderful
position, and are very quietly set with superb seaviews, 13 km east of Ierapetra. This is a
particularly mild southerly part of the island, and the lush large 4000sqm
gardens are particularly beautifully laid out with abundant greenery,
thick hedges, little wooden fences, potted plants, flowering bougainvillea
and trees. The apartments are arranged in two separate buildings, which
are ideally located on a cliff top with panoramic views of the intensely
blue Libyan Sea. Facilities include a swimming pool with children`s pool
and sun-loungers. The apartments are made up of seven maisonettes and four
studios:
A: Studios (25 sqm) for 2 people
with a living/bedroom area, with kitchenette, shower/wc and covered
veranda or balcony with patio furniture.
B: Maisonettes (58 sqm) are for 2-5
people and consist of a living/dining area with kitchenette, a double
bed, and a veranda with patio furniture. Downstairs there is a large
bedroom with twin beds and a shower/wc.
For
the closest access to the sea, a tiny pretty beach of sand and shingle is
only 60 metres from the apartments, and can be reached down a steep
winding cliffside path. However
if you prefer to avoid climbing, the coarse sandy beaches of Ferma and
Agia Fotia are 1500 metres away, and within a similar distance there are
some beach tavernas and a mini market. The bus stop is located 500m away.
A car is recommended.
Filoxenia
Apartments***
(Koutsounari) 10 Apartments
These
attractively positioned apartments are to be found in the pleasant area of Koutsounari, about 7 km away from Ierapetra. Due to the lovely hillside
setting the complex offers breathtaking views over the beautiful coastline
and the sea.
Filoxenia
is made up of four houses, one of which is the reception with a
comfortable seating area (service only available for a few hours in the
day). The very well cared for apartments are simple, but comfortably
furnished in traditional Cretan style. Air conditioning is available at an
extra local charge. You can choose from the following different sizes of
accommodation:
A:
Six apartments (40sqm) suitable for 2-3 people. They have a large
living/dining room with one built in bed, a fan and a kitchenette divided
by a breakfast bar. There is a bath/WC and a large balcony with sea views,
or in some case side sea views.
B:
Four apartments (80sqm) suitable for 4-5 people. Each comprises of a
living room with sofa bed, a fan and a kitchenette divided by a breakfast
bar. These apartments have two bedrooms, shower/WC and two large balconies
with sea views.
The nearest
taverna is about 400 metres away where you can also find a bus stop with a
regular bus service to Ierapetra. The sandy beach is about 700 metres walk
away. This is a very pleasant spot for guests who appreciate relaxing in
peaceful and comfortable surroundings.
Galini
Studios**
(Achlia) 4 Studios
In
a small bay 17 km along the coastal road to the east of Ierapetra is the
village of Achlia, situated alongside the beach. Galini
studios have the sea literally on their doorstep. There is a long veranda
in front of the four adjoining studios, with a trellis overhanging with
grapevines. Each studio, for 2-3 people, is about 27 sqm in size and is simple and practical.
The studios have a living/bedroom with a double and a single bed, a small
kitchenette and a bathroom with small bath/wc. From each studio there are
pretty views out over the sea and countryside. Air conditioning is
available, at an extra charge. Within 100 metres across the shingle beach
there are a couple of tavernas and there is a mini market which is about
650 metres away. The area is not densely populated having only a few
houses here and there, so one can unwind and relax in peaceful
surroundings. In the neighbouring villages, of Ferma (3,5 km) and
Koutsouras (4,5 km) more shops and tavernas can be found. A bus runs along
the road between Ierapetra and Sitia 7 times each day, and the bus stop is
only 100 metres from the studios. A car is recommended.
Irene’s
House***+
(Ierapetra) 16 Apartments
This
delightful complex is positioned about 800 metres away from Ierapetra. It
consists of two separate houses with 16 apartments, set in the middle of
large gardens (4000sqm) with flowers and trees. The facilities include a
swimming pool with children’s pool,
Jacuzzi, sun beds and umbrellas. Also there is a reception with a small
library, games, TV and a telephone with card system.
The
pavilion and the barbecue area make an ideal meeting point for guests
while the children can be happily occupied at the children’s playground.
Air
conditioning is available at an extra charge, and there are three
different types of apartments:
A:
Ten apartments (30sqm) in Irene I and Irene II for 2-3 people. Each
has a living/dining room with one single bed or a sofa bed. Also there is
a fully equipped kitchenette, TV, fan and heating. There is a bedroom with
twin beds, shower/WC, and a balcony or terrace with sea- or side sea
views.
B:
Two apartments (45sqm) in Irene I for 2-4 people. They have a large
living/dining room with fireplace, a single bed and a sofa bed, TV, fan
and heating and fully equipped kitchenette. There is a bedroom with twin
beds, a bathroom with bath or shower/WC, and a balcony or terrace with
sea- or side sea views.
C:
Four maisonettes (45sqm) in Irene II for 2-4 people. They have a
large living/dining room with one single bed, a sofa bed, kitchenette and
fan. There is a gallery bedroom with twin beds, shower/WC, and balcony or
terrace with sea- or side sea views.
The road is
about 25m from the house, where the bus stop is located, offering a
regular service to Ierapetra. On the other side of the road is the long
(1500 metres) beach of Ierapetra. The nearest tavernas are 300 metres
away, one of which is popular for fresh fish. Shops, bars and tavernas can
be found in Ierapetra, 800 metres away.
Nakou Village*** (Koutsounari/Ierapetra) 22 Apartments
Nakou
Village is built in Koutsounari, idyllically perched high in the
foothills of the mountains, and is set in generous 10000sqm grounds. The
apartme nts are carefully, tastefully and individually furnished and offer
enchanting panoramic views of Koutsounari and the sea, which is
approximately 2 km away.
Guests can
relax around the 126sqm large swimming pool,
with pleasant sun terraces and children‘s pool.
The
building style and interior decoration have been modeled on the style of
old Cretan farmhouses, with most of the beds built in and kitchens open to
the living area, with electric hobs and a fridge. Every spacious apartment
has a large south facing sun terrace with stone patio seating and
wonderful sea views. Bathrooms and kitchenettes are modern and very well
constructed.
There are
two types of accommodation to choose from.
A: Six
studios to accommodate 2 people and a child, having a bed/living room with
a double and a small single bed, a kitchenette, shower/WC and a terrace.
B: Sixteen
apartments for 2-4 people, with one bedroom with a double bed and a living
room with 2 sofa beds, kitchenette, shower/WC and a terrace.
Shops and
tavernas can be found in Koutsounari and there is a car parking space in
front of the house, a car is recommended.
