Much
of the filmin
g of Zorba the Greek took place at Stavros
so these
apartments are aptly named. Stavros is at the end of Akrotiri peninsula,
14 km from Chania and sits in a small sandy bay, with the apartments
across the bay from the village. There are 55 apartments spread around on
this 20,000 square metre complex in pretty bungalows linked by paths, all
set in spacious grounds with verdant hedges and shrub in
between offering
a surprising amount of privacy. The sea comes right up to the property on
to a small sandy beach and there is a large swimming pool, 250 sqm, a
children’s pool, a reception,
hich provides service a few hours in the
day, and a beach bar. Ideal for a family with active young children. Sun
umbrellas and sun beds around the pool are free of charge. Although there
is a bus service three times each day, in
the summer, to Chania it would
be somewhat limiting without a car. Further tavernas and shops can be
found in Stavros village. It is possible to have two studios, with a
connecting door, forming an apartment for up to 6 people.
A: Studios, 25 sqm in size, suitable for 2-3 people, bedroom/living room with two or three single beds,
kitchenette, dining corner, telephone, shower/wc and terrace or balcony.
Air conditioning is available in many of the studios at an extra charge.
B:

approximately 40 sqm in size, one bedroom with a double bed or twin beds,
living room with two sofa beds, kitchenette, dining corner, shower/wc,
telephone,
and terrace or balcony. Some of the apartments have a stone fireplace.
Most of the terraces and balconies have sea view.
